Vacancy – Teaching Assistant – Level 2

With a large expansion of our site due to commence later this year to accommodate an increase in pupil numbers from 750 to 900, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated members of staff to join our ‘family Fisher More’ for this exciting phase in our journey

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Level 2b Teaching Assistant, linked to funding. The main duty of the role will be to work with a student who is hearing impaired, to work with teachers in a collaborative way, to meet the social and curriculum needs of pupils, and to support pupils who display challenging behaviour or are vulnerable to social, emotional, academic or behavioural exclusion.

We are looking for someone who: -

• Has experience and the willingness to undergo training

• Is confident in supporting vulnerable pupils

• Is friendly and approachable

• Is a solid team player

• Has the skill-set to work independently

• Has excellent communication skills

• Has the ability to work with children and their families in a sensitive and positive way

• Has planning, organisational and IT skills

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and will have a flexible approach to the tasks they undertake. The position will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience working within a busy school environment.

Hours: 35 hours per week, term time plus 5 Inset days

Salary: Grade 5 (SCP 6 to 11, £21,968 to £24,054, pro rata)
